Bahamas Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews

Paradise Island Beach Club 07/27/03
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
If you are going to stay in the bahamas on paradise Island for 7 days, then the Paradise Island Beach Club is the place to stay in my opinion. It is not like a hotel. They are villas and they have two bedrooms. The master suite has a king size bed, double closets, an armoire, and a separate vanity. A large sunk in tub but I never used it because who want's to take time to take a long bath, when you could be swimming in the crystal blue ocean. There is a separate stand up shower in the master bath also and you have sliding glass doors that go out onto the balcony. The balcony has a a glass top table with chairs so you can sit outside and drink your coffee in the morning, or sit at night and listen to the ocean if you have a Oceanview suite. The second Bedroom has two twin size beds, a dresser, and closet, large windows, and a nightstand. There is tile floor throughout the whole place and a full kitchen with a large refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and coffee maker. I would recommend bringing your own food to save money. Then you have a full size glass-top dining room table with a light above it, I think it seats 6. You could have a houskeeper come in every day for free but we didn't want that.

They have a small convienence store in the courtyard, and a laundry room. There is a small game room and a small gym also. There are 24 hour security and guards on the property and a personal safe in your villa. The landscaping is beautiful and there are little lizards running around everywhere. The PIBC (paradise island beach club) is on the north east side of the island, it is the last resort on the east side. There is a wooded area and the PGA golf course is next door. There are two swimming pools also. One small pool up front and the larger one on the back-side on the ocean. There is a bar at the larger one and you can sit in the pool and sip your daquari on the underwater stools.

The Atlantis casino and hotel is about a 15- 20 minute walk away or a taxi is always available. I would recommend going to see the aquarium at the Atlantis. There are frequent natives who offer hair braiding (expensive), jet skiing, banana boating (fun), and para-sailing. There is also a grocery store on Paradise Island where you can restock and Hurricaine Hole is a nice place to shop. If you want more advanced shopping you can go across the bridge into Nassau about 5 minutes and there is downtown where the stores are plenty, plus a Strawmarket where you can barter for stuff. Then there are day or half a day cruises you can take to various adventures. Blue lagoon island, snorkeling, swimming with sharks, stingrays, dolphins, you name it.

Basically there is everything you need there, and your not cramped up in a hotel room with 6 people. Plus your not stuck buying the high priced restaurant food because you can make it yourself. Believe me the food is expensive in the grocery store and the restaraunts there. Overall the Paradise Island Beach Club is a nice place for a family or just a bunch of friends to relax and take in the scenery.
